<Some Explaining To Do>

Officially, October Extravaganza is off...

The Reason:
I had all my old pics in a portable HDD. Obviously, I was using said HDD to upload new deviations under the name '*Date* - *Picture Name*' for the October Extravaganza thing. Funny thing is that I never thought of doing a backup of the HDD (backup of a 'backup'?) and, (guess what?) due to misplacement and random friends coming over and using the computer, the HDD fell and, (yup!) it died. It can't read anything, so, therefore, i lost all my old drawings, photoshop files, everything. I tried to revive the bastard as best as I could but nothing. So, I've pretty much given up since trying to extract the info from the magnetic films is virtually impossible (in other words, stupidly expensive!). I'm just bummed about it since, yea, I liked some of those pieces and was working on some interesting pics as well. Reproducing pics is tough as hell, specially since I draw according to current feelings and all that.

I don't feel like drawing digital or serious art for now...it just doesn't feel the same without all my past progress. All I do nowadays are doodles and character designs in my notebooks, but I dunno...

As a chain reaction to this problem...
I didn't post anything since I had high hopes that the HDD would work again so i'd continue with the Extravaganza thing, but apparently it's impossible to continue now...and it was a bad idea anyways.

No, I'm not leaving DA. It's just that in January, my subscription ends and CSS will be unavailable so I'd like to keep pretty-man Hades there to tease everyone (specially Nieva). Also, I'm quite busy at school with Final Projects and such, so...no time to update much.

The second reason, prolly the most important, is that DA just doesn't feel like a share-your-art-comments-and-opinions-with-fellow members-kind-of-thing anymore. I know some of you still watch me and comment my art, but sometimes I feel like I'm just imposing and begging for it, and I don't want that. Don't get me wrong! I do appreciate (a lot!) all those comments and faves, but I think it ain't worth the trouble anymore and, who am i kidding? I can't update enough to keep a steady quota of pics, my activity level is low... I can't expect as many comments and feedback like when I started and I mean... that's what I particularly liked about DA. You got to post something, people commented on it and you made friends and all that... and to me it just seems like that spark has left. I miss the days when i used to talk to a lot of people, just random comments and got replies and such...but meh...I don't even go to MSN or Skype lately... WHAT THE HELL IS WRONG WITH ME!?

So anyways, from here onward...DA will prolly be just my Online 'backup' of pics if I decide to do anything at all. Comments are always welcomed (if i decide to enable them) but don't feel obligated to do so if you don't want to.

So anyways...random journal turned into a Rant Journal then into an Emo journal. If you've read this far, i'm sorry for you...lol. I'm just going with the flow here...and somehow it feels stupid that I've had written this journal at all...
